What size crate does a Rottweiler need?

What size crate is best for a Rottweiler puppy?
A practical approach is to buy a suitable adult-size crate with a divider panel. The divider keeps the puppy’s sleeping area appropriately sized now and can be moved as your Rottweiler grows.
Does a Rottweiler need a heavy-duty crate?
Not always. A calm puppy or crate-trained adult may be fine in a sturdy conventional crate. A strong chewer, anxious dog or escape artist is a better candidate for reinforced steel and more secure latches.
Is a 48-inch crate too big for a Rottweiler puppy?
Used without a divider, it can be far too large for a young puppy. With a secure divider, however, a larger crate can be adjusted over time so you do not necessarily need to buy a second crate as your dog grows.
Are wooden furniture crates good for Rottweilers?
