About RottieBuddy

Hi, I’m Victor, a Rottweiler enthusiast from the Netherlands and the creator of RottieBuddy.com. My friend on the right is Tyson. We hope you’ll enjoy this site!

Victor, creator of RottieBuddy, with his Rottweiler Tyson

My experience with Rottweilers is personal. I shared 12 wonderful years with my Rottweiler Tyson, who taught me just how loyal, intelligent, strong-willed, affectionate, and sometimes wonderfully stubborn this breed can be. Sadly, I lost Tyson to bone cancer. Later, I also had a young Rottweiler puppy named Beer for a short time, which gave me another close look at the challenges and joys of the puppy stage.

I created RottieBuddy to turn that love for the breed into something useful for other owners. The site is built around practical guides, tools, checklists, calculators, and resources for people who already live with a Rottweiler or are preparing to welcome one into their home.

I’m not a veterinarian or certified dog trainer, and RottieBuddy is not a substitute for professional veterinary or behavioral advice. My aim is to provide clear, useful, carefully researched information, supported where appropriate by reputable veterinary, animal welfare, and breed-related sources.

RottieBuddy is an ongoing project, and I continue to improve the site as I learn, research, and listen to the experiences of other Rottweiler owners.

My goal is simple: to help people understand their Rottweiler better and make life together healthier, easier, safer, and a lot more enjoyable.
