Obedience
Obedience is not about domination — it's about a shared language so your Rottweiler can move through the human world safely.
Short, daily sessions
Five to ten minutes, two or three times a day, beats one long weekly session. End every session on a win so training feels good.
Proof under distraction
A command your dog obeys in the kitchen is not the same command in the park. Practise gradually harder scenarios: garden → quiet street → busy street → dog park.
Reward markers
A clicker or a clear verbal marker like 'yes' pinpoints the exact behaviour you want. Timing beats treat size.
Group classes and titles
Formal obedience classes or working titles (BH, IGP tracking or obedience) give structure and expert eyes on your training — highly recommended for such a capable breed.
