Care
Rottweilers are low-maintenance dogs — but 'low' is not 'no'. Small weekly habits prevent bigger issues later.

Coat and shedding
A short double coat sheds year-round with two heavier moults. Brush weekly with a rubber curry brush; daily during the seasonal blowout. Bathe only when needed — over-bathing dries the skin.
Nails
Trim every 3–4 weeks or as soon as you hear clicking on the floor. If you can't do the whole nail, do one nail a day — routine beats a wrestling match.
Ears
Check weekly for redness, odour or brown discharge. Clean only when needed with a vet-recommended cleaner. Never insert cotton buds deep into the ear canal.
Teeth
Brush 3–5 times a week with dog toothpaste. Chews and dental diets help but do not replace brushing. Annual dental checks avoid painful extractions later.
Skin and paws
Check paws after walks for cuts, salt or gravel. In summer, watch for hot spots between the toes; in winter, moisturise pads if they crack.
